Dr Burgess is a retired Air Force Plastic Surgeon who completed her training in San Antonio. While active duty, she served at Travis Air Force Base as a Board Certified General Surgeon and deployed to Germany during Operation Iraqi Freedom to support the care and transport of soldiers out of theatre back to the US through Landstuhl Army Medical Center. She then completed a plastics and reconstructive residency at UT San Antonio. She then obtained her Board Certification and served for 8 years at Brooke Army Medical Center.
