Dr. Stewart is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in Atlanta, GA. “Mel” was born in the very small town of Wedowee, Alabama. He is a graduate of Auburn University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. He attended medical school at The University of Alabama School of Medicine and then completed a General Surgery residency at The University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital System. For fellowship training in Plastic Surgery, he was chosen to attend Tulane University in New Orleans. He has been in practice in Alabama for six years.
